My EarthX has sat for 6 months without charging and still started my O360
engine just fine. Once, after the master had been left on and drained the
battery, it would not accept charge from a 1 amp charger though it did
accept from a 30 map charger and has continued to work fine..

I have used an EarthX for 5 years in a Wittman Tailwind with great
performance.

Mark, a customer has a used Tail Beacon for sale, $1500. It was removed
last week from Mooney for a Dynon upgrade and is in our shop now.

My approach was to buy a used Dynon D10A. This provides all 6 pack
functions plus autopilot brains plus lithium backup battery. Servos are
$1500 each, new from Dynon. This gives GPS steer and altitude pre-select.

Abstract
John, I am trying to share a technical article on Flutter. If the article
does not go to the forum. I will try again. Be careful with terminology.
You use potential energy and force as if they are interchangeable though
they are not. And when you see the term elastic, it has a specific
John,
Flutter is initiated by resonance, not by force. The resonance frequency
of vibration causes amplitude to increase to infinity causing structural
failure. Manner of excitation, stiffness, dampning/energy absorption are
all factors. I can no longer do the math, but this us why balancing

Any IPAD that has cellular features available has built-in GPS and the cell
service does not need to be turned on for the GPS to work.

Mike, our Tailwind has 180 hp. It takes 10 gph to do 200 knots true at
cruise altitude.
