I can't give you the numbers because my adrenaline was running kinda high at
the time, but my engine died at 1800 ft above the airport on my first three
flights (fuel vent problem). I got about 3/4 around the pattern each time,
lining up with the runway and the problem was slowing it down and crab
accounts of your flights, Larry. It gave me the incentive
to continue on til the problem was solved.

provide stability with the
tailwheel. My memory is that there is about an 18 inch difference in the
position of the wheels. I don't think there's any way you can put on a nose
wheel without moving the main gear aft.

surization. I've put about 20 hours on my bird since with no further
problems.
It seems that the AOA was the key, and the bow wave over the cowling at speed
produced a negative pressure area at the fuel cap.

h the exception of avoiding landing in the marshes around here.
The chute takes 1 second to deploy at a max speed of 140mph.

to prevent rolling and strapped the wheels down with 1" ratchet straps from
Harbor Freight.
The plane rode well and arrived with no damage. These boat trailers sell
locally for about $400.
