Mark when I built my KR2. I melted down 2-2.5 pounds of tire weights in a
camping stove pot that I could throw away. I then poured the lead in a
“cardboard “ box about 2”x2”x4” that I lined on the inside and outside with
Ductape. When it finished smoking I then picked all the residual paper off
KR1 drawing 4A……sternpost is 40” tall.
My early blueprints have it as 38”.
It appears that 2” was added to the stern post in the fuselage depth of the
last bay! The old prints show the depth of this bay at 9”…….has this been
changed in the newer plans to 11” as in the KR2?
