Mark when I built my KR2. I melted down 2-2.5 pounds of tire weights in a camping stove pot that I could throw away. I then poured the lead in a “cardboard “ box about 2”x2”x4” that I lined on the inside and outside with Ductape. When it finished smoking I then picked all the residual paper off of it, put it on the sander and without a whole lot of effort it cleaned right up. I then shaped it into a more graceful shape until it weighed exactly 2 pounds. I did this process for both ailerons and it worked out perfectly.
