I’m no engineer either, but I suspect the clamping force the WAF bolts provide may be relevant to the integrity/strength of the WAF joint. Lynch pins won’t provide any clamping force. They’d also need to be very precise - I doubt movement of the joint would be a recipe for safety or longevity. TK
