I can tell you my gear was 8‘6“ from center to center of the wheel I’m not sure
how far that put the brackets from the fuselage but I was thinking it’s right
around 18 inches

Use the appropriate AN bolts and lock nuts to mount to the spar.

Zinc phosphate is fine. I guess they don't make zinc chromate anymore because
in one of our great States it causes cancer.Just remember zinc phosphate is not
meant to be used as the undercoat.
