I suspect that anybody who's flown a KR at both forward and aft ends of the CG range would tell you that it's more pleasant to fly at the forward end than at the aft end. Stability and pitch sensitivity is why, not "control lightness". Chasing the horizon in rough air is tiring and annoying.
