For the record, the Roy Marsh KR2S wings measure 7’3” from hinge bolt hole to
tip, with almost full width aileron...9” shorter than the wing.
They are somewhat tapered, to my surprise. Tape shows 4’ wide at the hinge
plane, and 35” at the tips, which are upturned slightly at the trailing edge

It's at least twice as tall as the stock distributor, closer to 10", and

Hi mark,
Does this mean then that the said magneto is much larger than the standard

fuselage.
Did he loose much wing area as a result?

To add to what Jeff said, I will throw this out...VW Type 1 engines are
already stretched to near the limit of their valve cooling capability at

Hi Jeff,
Thank you for your answer. Yes, I know about the hump. I am willing to accept
that. A PSRU would hide it, but I do not want to consider that option unless
there is a significant benefit in performance, especially during the climb.
Kind regards,
Hennie

Do what I did when I sold a VW motor. Send it collect. That way the buyer can

Hi again everyone,
Please allow me another question:
Is there a magneto available that can just be installed in the default
distributor flange on a Type IV VW engine?
