You really need to find the spec for the particular NAS and AN bolts you
"need" to use, but AS&S calls their AN bolts 120ksi, while at least one
spec I found online gave a range of 160-180ksi for the NAS6203-NAS6210.

I carry hull insurance on my experimental for total loss coverage. I know I

This is interesting. I know my total time is not very high at 500 hours but
I do have 170 of tailwheel time and 53 hours of high performance/retract. I
should try to shop around a little bit but I am somewhat locked into Falcon
due to my 2 current policies one of which is an experimental tailwheel

I am purchasing a KR2S and contacted aopa. With hull insurance it was a
little over $2,000 but with just liability it was under $1000. I have no
tailwheel time yet but I do have just over 1800 total.

Depends a lot on your total time and tailwheel time. You will also get
vastly different quotes from different insurance companies. Some give
good prices on some models, but bad on others. I highly recommend

I was/am looking to buy or eventually build a KR-2S so I called for an
insurance quote. The quote at just over $2000 was double the rate of my current
experimental tail dragger. My current insurer's quote came in at more than
triple what I am paying them now. Quotes are with the same hull value
