Today I rose from sleep at just before 5AM with visions of flying my KR dancing
through my head. Straight to the coffee pot and after downing a cup I headed to
the airport. The drive there was one hour and fifteen minutes. Much to my
dismay when I got there visibility was 1/4 mile with ceilings

Hi Ron,
I'm one of the folks in the other camp.I have the wing tanks made from
vinyl-ester and never a lick of trouble. The header tank is made from
safety-poxy if memory is correct. (Steve Glover may correct me) It was a
purchased part from RR in 2000. I put 5 gal of sunoco ultra 93 containing

Best mech design I saw was probably on Bill Claps airplane. It was a VW brake
lever on the left side of the cockpit. The bottom had a rotating arm over to
the center. At the center was a arm to the belly board that dropped the board.
Pretty simple.

Does anyone have a working mechanical Belly board?
I have an A65 with no alternator or battery. ?I installed a mechanical belly
board with a push pull cable. ?The cable pulls the belly board downward and
pushes it back up. ?It doesn't yet operate smoothly in the full range from up

I'm with Jeff on this one. My tanks are epoxy and I've run a
considerable amount of auto fuel when I could still
People on the KRNet make a fuss about using only vinyl-ester, but unless you
are planning to run alcohol contaminated fuel, epoxy tanks really aren't an
issue. I built my tanks with Saf-T-Poxy 20 years ago, then sloshed them with
and alcohol resistant sealer. I have always run Mogas when I cou
Is there any way to determine whether the wing tanks in an already skinned wing
were built using vinylester instead of epoxy?
A KR builder has a set of wings with Diehl skins already built. Older wings
