A digital scale is better than a balance.
You can get a good one from WalMart for $15-20...

Given the problems I've had with my ignition system, I'm seriously
considering a dual-plug setup. If anybody has a junk VW dual port head
that I can borrow to get the geometry of the second plug, I'd appreciate

lithium ion batteries. I just got the latest issue of /Kitplanes, /and
he has written further on the subject. He now has tested one battery.

That is pretty much what I do every time I move a plane. I have a
landscape type trailer with side rails that are about a foot over the
deck of the trailer. I put a long 2 X 12 across the back, roll the
plane up some ramps so it is on the board, strap the wheels down to the
