I'm working on I lancair 360 that has water-based paint on the underside. This
is the second Lancair that decided to land with the gear up. The problem I see
with the water-based paint is the preped surface was too smooth. I would start
the first Coat with nothing more that 220 grit. With the

When I talked to the local faa guy he said that the design has to be
certified as light sport and the plane has to be built exactly to plans...I
don't think any would meet those restrictions.

local guy does race cars and use a set of electronic scales. He did my
weighing gratisfor the curiosity perhaps... The local might let you use
them for a short ride in the plane. They are simple light weight scales and
