Also check in the yellow pages for a local speed or drag racing shop. Our local guy does race cars and use a set of electronic scales. He did my weighing gratis....for the curiosity perhaps... The local might let you use them for a short ride in the plane. They are simple light weight scales and are used as a set of 4 or in the case of a plane 3. They are very accurate and capable of several thousand pounds.
