Be careful...the cg range may not be the same for a kr2s as a kr2. It is
based on percentage of Mean aerodynamic chord and that changes with wing
planform and the planform is different for the kr2s. If you have the
extensions the range will probably be smaller than 8" to 16". I have
started run

Alan,
I've got link to a spreadsheet on my web site for the C.G. Range. However I
do have a KR2S so yours might be slightly different.

Basically C.G Range is 8 - 16" of the wing cord. For my plane I used the
firewall as the 0 point. Therefore the wing C
Joe,
If you've got the standard Dan Deihl gear legs, you don't need to worry.
They are mounted flush with the rear main spar. Just make sure when you
install your nose gear that the aircraft is level, not nose down. That might
cause some adverse takeoff behavior.

After much unheeded advice, much soul searching and nearly crashing the

are in place now pushing the engine mount forward by 2-inches. Wheel base

Does this look fair.
I received a quote of 2,198 for all the wood for a kr2s. Does this price
seem fair?
Welcome, it looks like you are on board. Tell us about yourself,

Joe,
The main wheels have to be far enough aft so that the tail does not hit the
ground every time some one gets in or out of the airplane. You don't know
what the CG is until the airplane is completed. If the wheels are too far

You may not know what the cg of the basic aircraft is until it is finished,
but you should know the aft cg limit before it is finished. The plans for
the kr2 state it is 35% mac...of course mac will vary for a kr2s or if you
change the planform in any other way.

Can someone tell me the angle of the main gear legs for a tricycle landing gear
, the swept back angle from the spar? I mounted my gear legs and they seem to
be angled further aft than what I've seen on other KR's.I haven't measured the
distance from the aft side of main spar but I would say 8
