Adam, I have done it both ways, scratch built and finished someone else's
project. I suggest you build your own boat. That way you can have the width,
and length most comfortable for you. I have not done a KR2S but have added
almost 2 feet of length on to a KR2 boat...widening it by 4" as wel

I'm not sure what you mean by needing more details on how I installed the
hinge
Ive seen where some have put the tank forward of the Instrument panel.
Ive seen some with Wing Tanks.
As a Licensed A&P i was first taught... Never put fluid above electrical.
Has any one had an issue with Cockpit fires that was originated from the Dash
mounted tank leaking?
