Hi Adam, welcome to the group!
In my opinion, the boat is very quick to build compared to the rest of the
plane. If I were you, I would build my own boat that is exactly what YOU
want it to be unless you can find a boat that is exactly what you had in
mind as the perfect KR fuselage.
I would also b

I have not started the build. Only the research.
I've seen a lot of different paths i can take.
ie start from new plans and new Mat's.
Picking up where some one left off.
do half builds and buy other parts ( IE wing skins )

I am no where near starting wood work yet but that does not prevent me from
starting on other parts such as the canopy hinges and various other metal
parts. The part I am emulating
is Mark Langfords canopy hinges. I was wondering the procedure that He used to
install them as what I want to do
I agree with Phil...the gasket set probably was interchangeable, but it's
improbable that a tractor would need an "in-flight" adjustable mixture
control. For those interested in the how the MA3 aircraft carb mixture
control works, here's the inside of one, at

So you're saying the carb that came off your tractor had the same mixture
control as the one on your O-200? OR are you just saying the needle,
gaskets etc were the same? All the tractor carbs I've seen have the knurled
knob multi turn needle adjustment, none of them had the mixture control

Phil,
It has been several years since I rebuilt and owned my Marvel Schebler MA 3
carb, but, I can tell you that the MA3 carb I pulled off my Continental 0-200
was nearly the exact same as the Marvel Schebler carb I pulled off of our
Oliver/White tractor.
You are right, the tractor carb b
I don't believe the MA3 is a tractor carb. Marvel-Schebler makes a bunch of
carbs for tractors that look similar but what makes it an MA3 is the type
of mixture control it has. For instance, there are 4 "styles" of "main jet"
controls, in their manuals, they call them "power adjustments". There is

I'm still using a POSA carb with a mixture control. It is light weight and
works fine. I have a Solex side draft out of a '60's VW square back that
were only sold in Europe. The US versions came with dual carbs at that time.
I haven't done anything with it yet.

Has anyone checked out the carb's at(google) "marvel ma3 tractor
carburetor" ? The price sure looks good. I'm running an MA-3A (I
think that is the number) on my 0-200 and haven't touched it since
doing a rebuild and installing it 450+ hours ago. I recall mine
