I agree with Phil...the gasket set probably was interchangeable, but it's 
improbable that a tractor would need an "in-flight" adjustable mixture 
control.  For those interested in the how the MA3 aircraft carb mixture 
control works, here's the inside of one, at 
http://www.n56ml.com/swift/mixture_ma3.jpg.  The mixture is controlled by 
rotating a flexible shaft (rusty thing on the left of the bowl) which 
rotates a slotted cylinder inside another slotted cylinder.  The more that 
slots align, the larger the slot gets, and the more fuel flows.  Once 
assembled, there's a lever attached to the flexible shaft, which is 
connected to the aircraft mixture control knob's cable.  Obviously this carb 
was ready for a rebuild...
