Folks here's my take on Gathering 2012.
I'm a technical writer and an IT specialist so I tend to look at things a
little differently. Having been a newbie several times in the last few
years of my career, the newbie vantage point seems to have become pretty

Thank you, some beautiful KR photos.
My KR has now done almost 450 hours, and I will do a top overhaul over the
next week to keep her in good shape.

When I drive to the Gathering it takes about 3-1/2 hours of Interstate driving
and seems like it will never end, "ARE WE THERE YET?" but when I flew down it
only took 1-1/4 hours and was over all to soon. Keep building guys.

Once again, the gremlin that has kept me from attending so many gatherings was
at work keeping me from this one. It if wasn't that weather, it was work issues
and then the final two surprises that kept me home. First surprise was when

Drove the last 11 hour leg of the trip to and from the Gathering yesterday.
It rained from just outside Atlanta to about 25 miles from my house and by
then it was dark. I was fearful of my life, but
Made it home easily by 11:30 am after a leisurely breakfast at Mount Vernon.
Did make a fuel stop at in Mid Missouri because of headwinds going home.
Airplane is flying great this year.
