Not a problem to use spacers. I have 2 inch aluminum spacers between the engine
and mount to move the CG forward and give more clearance to the starter on my
VW 2180

think between the firewall and mount is even better.

There is a time for building and
I want to move my Suby motor forwards about 1 inch, maybe 2, to improve
access and to give me a more forward CG. Is it acceptable to put a spacer
between the bulkhead and the engine mount?
