An inch or two may OK (clearly it works for Chris), and it's certainly appealing to use spacers rather than rebuilding the engine mount in order to move the CG, but there must be a point beyond which inserting spacers will become a problem. For the same reasons the engine mount has bracing in various directions, surely spacers beyond a certain length should too? For example, I'd be surprised if 6 inch spacers didn't create an issue. I don't have the engineering background to do the maths, but intuitively I'd have reservations going beyond a couple of inches with this approach. Does anyone have any data on what the sensible limits are?
