Well, today I bit the bullet and ordered my IFly720. It will be here on
Thursday. I just got fed up with a GPS that is very difficult to see in the
sunlight. I have a plan for installation that, if it works out, will remove
the need for me to install a SkyView, which will eliminate all the down

I second that Robert, It was a beautifull day for flying in Tennessee. I flew
from NE TN (GCY) to SW TN FYE) and back today. (6 hrs. flying time) Visibility

Congrats Dan! That was hilarious. If there was air under the tyres it was a

Hi Everyone,
I used my iFlyGPS 720 for the first time, all I can say is WOW! You can't get a
brighter day then were having this morning Nashville, Tn. direct sunlight is
no problem. All of the sectionals, weather and airport info can be downloaded
using a wireless connection or a flash drive
I am in the process of going carefully through the flight test check lists. I
am pleased to report that the Rick 1 will fly. I am doing the testing at
Kimball NE on a 6000 foot runway with no wind and no traffic. I didn't expect
to fly, I was doing the high speed taxi test part of the check
I believe that "Todds" canopy instructions I received with my canopy stated not
to use polyester because it will eventually cloud the plexi. But then I would
ask the manufacturer of the bubble first. Don't trust me.

My bird has a BMA EFIS/One, which is a 10" diagonal screen...
It barely fits - I had to actually have it stick out in front of the
panel, in order to clear one of the crossmembers.
Panel height is one thing the KR-series does not have much of

As Mark said, it's not that huge but in my opinion its way too big for a KR
panel. I guess its a personal choice. My front deck is very flat (firewall
above longerons too) and therefore my panel does not rise as far above the
longerons as most others.

You are speaking an incredibly different language than I (or most people)
understand. Can you start over and list how to do this - step by step - so
that the non technical types can follow this. Thanks. Looks pretty cool.

It's not THAT big...only 12.5" wide and 7.9" tall. I thought seriously
about putting one in my plane and it was a tight fit, but it did fit. It

If you don't mind me asking, how are you going to fit the Odyssey into your
panel? That is one HUGE EFIS! I just fitted an Odyssey in a whisper motor
glider which has a panel 1.2m wide and it fills a large section of it. The
voyager has all the functions of the Odyssey in a smaller package but

canopy frame. Linking system and locking system for canopy frame.
Before we glue the canopy on the canopy frame we need to finis
