Yes. 1998 and 1999 as I recall. 10 hour drive in 98 and 4.5 hours
in the Tripacer in 99. 2012 will be my 22nd consecutive Gathering. :-)

A place to start is to determine what prop you have now. You said its a 53
diameter but what pitch? I have a prop for sale which is a 54 diamater 52
pitch which is probably too much for a 1835 VW. If you would like to see how
