set the choke full on, mixture about mid-range and throttle open a little.
Air temp was 45 degrees F. The 2180 VW fired up on the third blade through
and ran strong. The VW from Great Plains ASC had only been sitting
I have adopted the same 1 hour rule that so many have talked about here and
it's amazing how just one hour of work a day really makes a difference.
Looking forward to having wings done by spring.

I'm getting ready to build a KR-2 ,but undecided on which way to build. The
standard way with spruce longerons and braces or the all composite
construction. I have not seen anyone with an all composite airplane post any
info on flight times or such. I will appreciate comments on the pros & co
Steven,
I applaud you and your attitude towards engine management. I have also
broken away from the distributor ignition and gone "electronic", well sort
of. I have every component in the system backed up by a secondary.
Having the oxygen sensor is a good idea. You will probably have to set the
map
Stephen,
The fully programmable ignition system may need some help to set the
mixture. A simpler way is to install an Oxygen sensor in the exhaust system
to feed a Mixture Meter aka Air/Fuel Ratio (AFR). Then you can set the
mixture exactly to what you want it to be in real time while flying f
