I saw something interesting in an article in a recent issue of Kitplanes
on the Wittman Tailwind. The Tailwind has a center stick but the top is
bent into a "U" shape
and the end of it winds up in at the lap level of a pilot in the left seat,
placing it where a dual stick would be. That way so
I'm curious as to why you guys pay for hull insurance on your KRs? I can't
imagine that I would allow anyone but myself repair the plane and with the
money saved on hull insurance, you will have paid for the plane in a pretty
short time. I carry $1M liability on my KR, but with my cumulative f
