I spoke to a friend that was in the Canopy business. He has made and fitted canopies from light planes to Spitfires. He said he as done loads of testing over the years, and Polyester ( low or no wax content) resin is the strongest bond. The canopy will break before the joint lets go. Phil Math

I have two Kr2 a/c in my garage, recently imported from Canada, one for me and one for one of my good flying friends. Doing a W & B I found both to be very similar in weight. A/c #1 (neither yet have an Au rego) appears to be in good balance and has a small tail down force when empty in the leve

OK, I reread it and over-reacted. The picture was misleading too. I'd split the split and squirt some T-88 in it with a syringe, close it up and let it cure, and it'll be good as new. I wouldn't use Kevlar, and doubt that's what's there now. It's probably just fiberglass built using yellowed

I am involved in building a homemade lumber drying kiln right now and have been studying what I can find on the 'net about it. It seems that the strength of the wood depends on the drying process as well as the species. Non-mil-spec lumber might not have been dried using the process that give
