I stopped in Hazelhurst Ga. a while back. No one at the airport. The weather
had me socked in but they had a bunk house. Clean sheets, tv, food, and cheap
fuel. Now any time I am in the area I will stop and get fuel to help support
them. We need more airport like this.

I will be needing a replacement prop for N774A in the next several weeks.
The prop bank is a little sparse, so if anyone has a 52 x 44, 45, 46, or
47, that you want to sell, or loan, contact me directly. 774A flew briefly
on a Sterba 52x44 but I really don't know how much pitch I would like. I

some of the basics of things that I didn't know before.
The fuel can be bought right now but the price would be about $20/gal

Mark,
Most transponders have a heat sink built into the rear of the case where the
high power transmitter is located. The mounting bracket will have a small
tube for attaching a small air duct to provide some cooling for the heat
sink. The transmitter may be happier with a little cooling air a
I don't know, I think it depends on the brand / type of ATF.
I bummed some from my local Ford dealer during an oil change
but the Acetone / ATF mixture didn't mix, they just sat there and
glared at each other.

Not a radio guy, but have noticed that some use a second antenna, so
matching to a radio/transponder (?) is not as critical, as the 'splash
back' (returning energy ) is reduced by the extra antenna..Correct or
Somewhat Correct?

I spoke of this a few years ago?
My KR2 has two burn and melted strips on the dash carpet. I could not
believe it if I had not seen it for myself.
Only when the canopy is open and the tail pointing at the sun. I have been
told it is very common in Gliders as well, SO be careful.
