Hey Kris, -- took your advise and download the files for KR1 & the KR2 this
site has. Have problem with loading -- get error message -- "air file is
damaged try getting new air file from application author". Did you have
this problem or did I miss something.

Kris, the Q200 and the KR2 have vastly different firewalls but it is not
outside the realm of possibility for a reasonably competent builder to adapt
one to the other.
Having recently done something similar it shouldn't bee too hard as the KR has
3 straight sides to match to the curvy Q200 cowl.

YOU CAN'T GET TOO MUCH POWER OUT OF A VW FOR A KR2. MINIMUM WOULD BE
IN THE 75 HP RANGE IF YOU EVER INTEND TO CARRY A PASSENGER. IF YOU

Dave, I have a vinyl-ester header tank that Brian Kraut made for me last year
that fits a KR2. I did not use it and will part with it for what Brian charged
me $125. Let me know off net if you are interested and I'll send you pictures.

Heya all. I'm Dave's son. The KR-2 is a project we're doing together. So
let's see if I can fill in any holes here (no pun intended).
We're actually redoing the panel from the current ½" wood panel that's in
there to aircraft grade aluminum with carbon fiber overlay. All the
instruments actu
How about lamenting your existing panel to add 1 1/2" to it without actually
moving it. The only down side is you have move all your existing instrument to
the new panel surface.

Hey Paul,
Here is a great KR-1 simulator that works well with Microsoft Flight Sim 2004.
It is not a KR-2S, however the flight characteristics should be similar and it
is still just a simulator.

If you have a POSA, junk it and get something else. Richard is a master
machinist and has the ability to make the carb safe. Others have just been
lucky or have the ability to make the repairs or adjustments needed. Not
everyone has that aptitude and need something that can be put on and run wit
Hello Dennis,
To start I would not go any smaller than an 1835 VW. It would be about
60-65HP @ 3300 rpm. I don't think you can get a VW up to or over 100hp
without doing something crazy to it. Dan Deihl ran a Turbo for awhile, but
he said that you have to fly high and in cool air all of th
There is nothing wrong with the POSA. Most of the stories you will read or
hear on this net are that STORIES. There are several people who fly with
POSA's. Steve Bennett has a plane right now that is Jim Faughn's, and it
flys with a posa. I had an 1835 with a POSA and it worked great. I cr
