I'm not a KR builder but have always really liked them. I do fly Sport Pilot
and any airplane that meets the speed, weight etc you can fly as Sport Pilot.
The best thing is to build an experimental that meets the requirements and
that's all you need. I wouldn't bother with any type LSA certificatio

I guessed that would the the highest time KR. Do you see any obvious
structural stresses (from time and hours flown over the years) Dan?
Off the top of my head, I can think that wood rot (such as can affect the

Guys,
A pretty good weekend again, after a week of rain in between. I mentioned
before that I went down to the Virgina regional for their fly inn and had a
good time there with great weather down and back. The only thing that I didn't
like was the departure pattern which took you right through t
Briefly, according to FAA regulations - If you build at least 51% of a KR2S
per plans you may apply for certification as an E-AB (Experimental-Amateur
Built). As the builder, you may then apply for a "Repaiman Certificate" for
that specific plane. That will allow you to do an annual condition

Hi guys: I got on this net site or whatever you call it a few weeks ago,
You might remember, I am the guy in Afghanistan building a power plant and
waiting to get home to start the build. Everything Dwight is asking is what
I am concerned about as well. I will be watching with interest from over

The Sonex is probably a little more stable, just because it's larger with
more distance between wing and horizontal stabilizer. As for "solid", I'd
think the Son
Hello KR'ers,
I am new to KR net and I am very impressed with the knowledge and camaraderie
of the group. I am about to embark on the project of a lifetime -
manufacturing an airplane - and need some advice from those who have done it.
I have spent countless hours and late nights reading book
Yes, Steve's original KR-1 had about 1500 hours on it before he sold it. It
went through at least three owners after that. The first owner (me) put
about 50 hours on it, the second owner (Indiana) didn't fly it, and then the

[quote] Anyway from what is known by this current group of KRNET readers
what is the highest time KR?
I think that might be O'l Blue (N4DD). I'll have to drag out the books but I
seem to remember that it was well over 2000 and close to 3000 hours. I'll
try to check later today.

I am sure that with Mark re-instating his US residence soon, that will no
