Hi All. Our Australian KR Gathering has now passed and was certainly one to remember. Three KRs arrived and these early pics will tell the story. Phil Matheson http://www.kr-2s.com/images/krnet/narromine_09/storm_800.jpg Don Laverick http://www.kr-2s.com/images/krnet/narromine_09/don_800.jpg R

The weather has just stunk for most of the time I've been home this time (just like last time), with high winds and low ceilings. I'd hoped to meet up with Joe Horton at Jack Cooper's place, but it was raining on him this morning, so he found some KR maintenance to do instead. Today was suppos

I found the 7EC4 Citabria close. Try Twitchells, it's mainly a seaplane place but I have seen lots of taildraggers there. Also Pitsfield, ME.  The only "school" that I know that has one is Nashua, NH. Paul Derry, NH KR2 Stretched N7970K What aircraft would you recommend using to get t

Surely there is an electronics savvy member who can design a small converter to make this instrument work from 0 to 5v. All meters have the same internals, just a magnet and a moving coil. It is how you hook them up and calibrate them that makes them a voltmeter, ammeter, tacho, .2 - .8v or 0 - 5v

I have made the nose gear conversion on my retract gear KR-2. Dan Diehl did sell the nose gear, but he was in negotiation with Brian Kraute http://www.engalt.com/ to sell the rights along with the wing skin design and molds. Check with Dan at http://www.diehlaero.com/landing.htm The Diehl nose

Dan The Westach 2C5-56 O2 gauge reads from 0.2 volts to 0.8 volts. This gauge will only work with a narrow-band O2 sensor operating with an electronic Engine Control Unit as found on most production automobiles. The voltage transition through the stochiometric 14.7 to 1 ratio is very fast; you

Kurt, I've had good success with hot beverage cups, the ones they use to serve take-away coffee in. They are covered in polyethylene (PE) not wax. I collect mine around the office then wash and dry the used ones. Paul Smith Brisbane, AUSTRALIA pk.sm...@bigpond.net.au http://kr2spacemodulator.blo

That is exactly it. Thank you. I will definitely hook one of these up to my Corvair when I install it. I'll bet they will make it in the standard 2 1/4 aircraft type face also. I will check with them on Monday. See N64KR at http://KRBuilder.org - Then click on the pics  See you at the 2009 - K

I couldn't continue working not knowing why the fiberglass was not hardening. So I created three samples and layed up 2 BID flanges on some scrap pieces. The first one was just what I had always done. Then I mixed the epoxy in an old soda can thinking maybe it was the bowls. Then I stirred the h
