The corvair stuff has been sold. I still have a KR2 sitting on dehl landing
gear (no wheel or brakes) and no engine. The wings are complete. And a KR2S
boat stage with center spars installed and wings spars built for the AS5048

I purchased an older KR2 project last October that is in the boat stage with
some completed spars. I recently unwrapped the spars and found that the
front center spar wood is there, but they were never assembled/built. Back
when I started investigating and learning about KR's (about 2

was finely left at the airport. We could install the wings in about 20 min and
remove them in about 15 min. The thing to remember is replace the Teflon castle

I converted N6242 from conventional plans-built retracts to fixed
tri-gear using Dan Diehl standard mains and nose gear. Gear
installation is per Diehl instructions. Have 11x4.5-5 Lamb (Shin) for
mains and 3.4x3.0-5 on the nose. Engine is a stock Great Plains 2180 VW
with 3/4-inch spacers

I think you got it right, I have been working on my KR2 3 1/2 years now and
with a total investment of about 5,000.00 give or take a couple a hundred. I
should have it ready to fly this summer. and I did a lot of fishing trips in
the bass boat too!. Thats why its taking so long to buil
