I just received a set of osprey2 plans. I bought them to check out the
retractable mains. I have not yet audited the dimensions, but it looks
doable.. Their nosewheel design won't fit of course, so I am still
searching for that solution.
Looks like each main strut "working load" load is 1100 lb

I have read that using the WAF's to make the plane portable is not a
good idea as the bolts, washers and nuts will eventually wear out the
WAF's. That makes sense. I would think a good solution ,and easy to do
would be to make the holes in the WAF's larger, and use bushings in
those holes
