type 4 rear drive KR. And, if so what it's status is , if you know. The N #
998MG look-up still lists it under his name. That was one good looking KR!

Hi all, we have the gear legs as used on Troys KR-2 back again. Originally the
lower leg bent to only 25 degrees as they broke in the upper bend. The lower

The gear leg is probably not considered to be a "High Temp" operation despite
the near proximity of potentially very hot brakes. I chose to use cotter pins
on mine for that reason, but as Mark points out, he hasn't seen a problem with
his either.

Regarding the cotter (not "carter") pin hole - fiberlock nuts should
probably not be used with a bolt having a hole within the threaded portion.
The thought is that the sharp edge or a burr around the hole could damage
