Started modifying the latch mechanism on the standard RR retracts this week.

Netters: I applied for my Light Sport Inspection Rating today at the
Springfield, IL, FSDO. They amended my original Experimental Operating
Limitations in a few different areas. This one particular change may be of

Oh, and one more thing is that during the bending process, the verticals end
up "twisted" a little, so that gap tightens up, and you'll probably have to
shave a little off of the vertical member that mates up to the front main
spar, and also the vertical that faces the aft face of the aft spar.

In the drawing for the AS5048 root airfoil, it shows a distance of 21.56"
between the main and aft center spars. Looking at my plans, there is a
10.75" bay behind the main spar, followed by another 10.25" bay before the
forward vertical member of the aft spar. Now that's 21" for the bays and
