Is it possible to handle/pay individual fines through SIP in Koha? Or is only
the full sum of all fines of a patron supported?

Is this based on encoding or something else?
I understand the encoding default for KOHA (during import) is UTF-8.
But it also has a MARC-8 option.

If they are MARC-8, you should specify MARC-8 when you import them. So
