It doesn't flood logs, however i2c kernel threads consumes a lot of CPU. Only
module reload is helpful.

Yes problem appeared 2 times right after suspend, but not after every suspend.
(basically I'm not fluent what suspend mode is in use, I just closed laptop lid
to suspend and opened it back next day or after a hour. During all that time
laptop was suspended without external power source).

However SOF driver that worked in eoan (5.3) kernel _with upstream SOF

For me, this problem is fixed by turning off the power, removing the
battery and plugging in everything back. After powering on notebook the
error is gone. I have AMD-based DELL Insipron 1501, assuming this is
some sort of firmware bug of keyboard controller, and needs to be done
once a year or so.

I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 17.10. I use a dell inspiron 13inch.
I noticed that my screen went blank and would not respond from any mouse click
or keyboard press.
To troubleshoot, i connected it to an external TV and I could see the screen.
This means there is a malfunc
I have ASUS vivobook X505ba , touchpad is ELAN1200:00 04F3:303E
Having similar similar with touchpad not working in ubuntu 17.04/17.10
