Facing the same problem, with Kubuntu 22.04, on a Lenovo Thinkpad E15 AMD
Ryzen, with kernel:
linux-image-generic-hwe-22.04 6.8.0-49.49~22.04.1.
Booting into the previous kernel 6.8.0-48-generic and this problem goes
away.
