I don't think this laptop has such a block button. There is a button
(F7) with airplane symbol. It does not seem to have any effect (even
when used with FN key).
What I know is:
- If I boot to Windows, the wifi works there.

I was able to reproduce the bug, and this upstream fix[1] look
promising.
On my test machine, using a test package containing this patch on top of
current gdm3 bionic, chvt doesn't hang anymore, and work as expected.
I'd would like more feedback before I proceed with an SRU.

I just tried updating the kernel to v5.0, same situation as before.
works on lightdm but not on X... until I run evtest.
