I can confirm that a clean install on a newly formatted device on a box
(which was affected by this problem) runs fine now.

Unfortunately after system update the bug appeared again!
Kubuntu applications hide mounted NTFS folders so that the the data can
not be accessed by Kubuntu applications. GTK Applications do work as
expected.

After apt-get update on 18.04.1 the problem still existed.
Than, I performed a complete new installation of kubuntu 18.04.1 from
CDROM on the same computer(s), empty home directory too. The issue

I tried to install Ubuntu 18.04 on a system with MSI X370 SLI PLUS motherboard
(Bios Version 7A33v3C of 2018-05-04), Ryzen 7 1700 and Nvidia GT 1030 graphics
card.
The 18.04 LiveDVDs do not work at all. There is no display output.
