Title: USB3 port no longer recognizes Seal One Status in linux package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Requirements: Operating system: Ubuntu 24.04.01 LTS Kernel: Linux 6.8.0-51-generic Seal One 2200 Problem description: I use a Seal One 2200 for online banking at Postbank as part of the BestSign security procedure. Until the last two updates of Ubuntu, I was able to connect this device to a port of my USB3 hub and use it. Now this is no longer possible. Seal One is no longer recognized there. Even connecting it directly to a USB3 port on the PC does not help. However, Seal One is still recognized on USB2 ports (with and without a downstream USB hub). The files lspci2.log, lsusb2.log, dmesg2-Hub3.log log the correct recognition of the Seal One device. The files lspci3.log, lsusb3.log, dmesg3-Hub3.log unfortunately do not log anything specific to Seal One. The dmesg logs were created as follows: USB3 hub to USB2 port (working variant): ================================================= - Computer shut down - USB3 hub connected to USB2 port of the computer - Computer restarted - Waited for complete initialization - Seal One plugged into a port of the USB3 hub at 13:40. - “Seal One USB - Welcome” window appears. - Click on the “Finish” button. - Window disappears. - Seal One 2200 responds with icon Seal_One_ready_to_use.png - Then run sudo dmesg -T > dmesg2-Hub3.log Seal One is recognized. Since Seal One reports with the above symbol, I assume that transfers are also possible. Logging in to Postbank with BestSign approval via Seal One 2200 works. USB3 hub on USB3 port (no longer works since the last two updates) ======================================================================================== - Computer shut down - USB3 hub connected to USB3 port of the computer - Then restarted the computer - Logged on to user account - Waited for complete initialization - Plugged Seal One into a port of the USB3 hub at 13:19. - Seal One responded after a certain time with icon Seal_one_not_startet_CD.png - Then executed sudo dmesg -T > dmesg3-Hub3.log. No entries as of 13:19 in dmesg log; no Seal One detected.
