@Daniel I know you've been working to make sure that the 470 driver
still works well in mutter despite knowing it would be EOL by now,
considering that it enables hardware that the newer drivers dropped.
So were you aware of this change?

An important hint I miss in your analysis :
Ubuntu 20.04 + minidlna no problems
Ubuntu 22.04 + minidlna no problems
Ubuntu 24.04.01 + minidlna with same configuration, minidlna is the problem.
minidlna is up to date : 1.3.3+dfsg-1build2

Actually I don't think this is unique to 560:
> 2. nvidia-560 spends way too much of gnome-shell's real time (60%)
inside gbm_surface_lock_front_buffer (called by lock_front_buffer).
It looks like 550 was doing the same.
But gnome-shell on nvidia-550 did consistently profile differently to
560.

> That's bug 2062082 but I'm not sure how much it matters on Jammy.
There's no fallback-to-zink in jammy, so it would fall back to swrast instead.
However that's an issue for single-NVIDIA systems, while on hybrids it should
pick the integrated GPU.

Hm. It's kind of hard to troubleshoot this remotely. Another possibility
would be to boot a desktop image [1] from usb, mount the internal disk,
and pull all the data that way. And/or backup your data and reinstall...
Although I'd like to understand how you ended up in this situation.
