I have an issue, not sure it is the same bug but it started happening recently sometime after November 12th. HP Probook 6475b freezes when removing the AC. The cursor jitters, a short audible sound occurs, screen artifacts then FREEZE. It had been working fine prior to installing recommend updates.

Public bug reported: I am using ubuntu 17.10 and new to ubuntu and linux. I used this command "apt-cache policy pkgname" and the result is "unable to locate package pkgname". I use a package called brightness controller because my monitor is Samsung Syncmaster SA10 and it doesn't have any buttons

May I ask you to check if my settings are correct? I figured out that right and left buttons are working but they simply do nothing. I noticed with evtest that my touchpad is capable of right and left clicking but if I try, the debug says only BTN_LEFT, on click, and does nothing. So, please: hel
