performance?
The tunnel wasn't for performance but for security. If you're going
across `the wire', you want to encrypt your traffic. I would. :)
Anyway, thanks for the inputs.
You're welcome.

Hi Mark,
When I VNC across the Internet, I run a super light weight Window
Manager (twm) and Xvnc on the remote box. As it is across the
Internet, I ssh and set up a tunnel. On my local box I vnc to the
local port using "copyrect tight zlib hextile" options and it all works
in real time.

However, if I bring up `System Settings' and mouse-over any of the
icons, the mouse-over color is extremely light. I'd like to increase
this intensity while maintaining my `Selection Background'
Any ideas?
Thanks a lot!

I installed it this AM on my laptop. My GPU is cooler than when
running Nouveau.
Thanks for the heads up.

In my particular case, the problem may take up to 24 hours to exhibit
so it's taking a while. But I'm close! :)
For those interested, it seems it may have been (or is? - it was
recently updated) `x11vnc' After many days, I'm not done.

fore 4.5, KDE didn't
meet my needs. No big deal. No one said _I_ had to switch from 3.5
(which I'm still using). It's not until 4.5.3 do I find KDE is stable
enough for my needs.
In the end, it's all about choice. There are many people working on
KDE and I want to publical
hat the software has
capabilities beyond my needs. Very cool.
In short: well done and thank _you_!!!
