There are advantages, I've found, to having ConsoleKit invoked.
As for poudriere, doing a bulk build on x11/kde5 should pull in everything you

Hi Luca,
The process can definitely be a bit confusing. I've written a script that goes
through what I did to accomplish the upgrade. I use portupgrade as my
ports/package manager.

Hi Yuri,
This won't be of much help, I know, but KDE 4.4.3 is working perfectly for me.
It scrambled my desktop panel settings a bit, but that was easily remedied.

Just to mention: I'm running 4.4.4 on FreeBSD 8.0-RELEASE. I do not have
ispell installed, just aspell and iw-hspell. The automatic spellchecking in
kmail is definitely working, as I'm looking at several red underlines right
now.

Hi all,
After completing my upgrade I was attempting to update my packages (to use in
updating other computers) when I ran into the following errors:

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone else was having problems with file previews in
Folder View for 4.5.1. My wife has Folder View for her whole desktop
(replicating the Windows XP experience) and all the photos now show up as
icons instead of previews. I've noticed the same behaviour in my Folde

Is there a mailing list I should mention this on?

I got curious about this, so I did some digging. According to the following

The developers at kde.org decided to remove the KAppFinder application from
kdebase and move it into "KDE Extra Gear" which isn't a package by itself bu
Hi all,
Noticed two odd things with 4.5.2
1) Dolphin freezes up on me. A lot. After a minute or so it unfreezes.
2) kwin goes nuts when I play video of any kind. It basically takes over one
of my CPU cores completely.
Anyone else seeing this sort of thing?

Just wanted to report that I'm not seeing any of the these errors. I'm on 8.1-
RELEASE (32bit) using the latest xorg and nvidia proprietary drivers. (I did a
grep -i dri on my xorg logs. Nothing out of hte ordinary.)
