Rusty, One user has let us know that disabling "powerd" in rc.conf help with some similar issues. Do you have that enabled on your box? Kris, No powerd on this desktop workstation. Also, I think my xorg builds up much slower than you had seen. After 24 hours, Xorg is at around .4% cpu.
