Since port upgrade to 12.0.1 the option 'run as root' has no effect. I
reinstalled the 11.0.3 version and the problem has gone.
Do you think that I need to open an upstream ticket or it could be a
port related problem? Or maybe my local configuration problem?

The version of Qt Creator in the ports tree is really old, the 5.0
version is out a long time ago.
What is the reason of stalling port's version on 4.13.3? Could you
update it, please?
