The Digikam (5.3) AppImage bundle works, and after upgrading to Ubuntu 16.10
x64 - as I couldn't install v5.3 in Ubuntu 15.10 due to dependency problems -

I had the chance to recently test this on another laptop with a Realtek
firmware and there it was the speeds reported were higher.

Well, whatever the reason, in the last few days I've been starting Discover
manually every day to check for updates, because it simply hasn't been
starting. It shows up on the notifications, but not the icon on t
outside ~.
