I should add the colour profile would not be read from a screen (an output
device) but from the windows system software and is simply a file so cannot see

Two things. I got the dump and I found out why Krita will not start in the
debugger. It fails to fully start up when it tries to load an autosave file. So
no autosave files and it starts up just fine! Guess this should
