Not really. It’s quite expensive to do those currently because we don’t use
opengl to paint things. We would need to rewrite the entire graphics stack
for that.

Another workaround, apart from disabling the cursor animation, seems to be
changing the window decorations to plastik. Apparently it is not affected. The
