I recommend using kid3-qt instead of kid3 when not having KDE as your desktop
environment. Since this seems to cause problems, I have now fixed it by using
F5 instead of Ctrl+R for "Reload".

I checked my library and there are around 60'000 pics and 3'500 unknown faces
