Thanks for your report. I think it is an issue in the KFilemetadata Neon
package.
As a temporary workaround, deleting the taglib extractor plugin solves the

In this krita-4.0.0-prealpha.2 is much much better.
Zoom works all the time as well as picture panning (space+LMB).
Copy+Paste shortcuts works all the time.

Backports is already activated. I check "unsuported updates" on Update manager
